Halo 5 to get Warzone Firefight on June 29th

It’s finally coming

It’s finally coming

Then, from 29th June to 5th July, the full game of Halo 5 will be available to download and play for free to all Xbox Live Gold members.

The full game will be marked down during this time, by a whopping 50%!

The game developer released the first DLC called Battle of Shadow and Light in November 2015 and Warzone Firefight is the eighth expansion pack for the game.

As for Warzone Firefight, one of the biggest new additions is the Warzone Firefight mode. As its name implies, Warzone Firefight is a fork of Warzone, which means that the huge maps you've come to appreciate are going to be featured here. No longer will players have to struggle to find water to Forge on - it's literally everywhere on Tidal!

Warzone Firefight, which is a combination of Halo 5's Warzone multiplayer mode and Halo 3: ODST's immensely fun and popular Firefight playlist, underwent a beta test in early April.

Score Attack will also be coming to the campaign to allow you to compete for points and medals, either solo or co-op. Some of the things to expect from the "Halo 5" update include three new multiplayer maps, Grunt Goblin, a new grunt-mech boss, new Reqs, which include the Cyclops armor set, Cinder armor set, the new Covenant vehicle, weapon variants, and more.

If you're more interested in playing the campaign when Halo 5 is free, the update includes something for you, as well. The Warzone Firefight release brings a fan-requested canvas, the ocean-themed Tidal. "Attack on Sanctum" and "Prospect" will be available for the Warzone and Warzone Assault modes, respectively, while "Molten" will be used in the smaller-scale Arena multiplayer. Of course, no update would be complete without a slew of new REQ items, so those are here, too. There's no better time to join the Spartan ranks!

There will be more surprises that will be announced on the live stream 343 Industries will be holding on June 28 at 2 PM on their Twitch channel.
