Smokeless tobacco products recalled after sharp metal objects found inside

The Food and Drug Administration says all of the recalled products were manufactured at U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company's facility in Franklin Park, Illinois.

Included in the recall are products from Cope, Copenhagen, Husky and Skoal.

The recall was initiated after several consumers complained about finding sharp, foreign metal objects inside their cans. The products containing metal were produced in the company's IL facility. There have been eight consumer complaints received from Indiana, Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Ohio.

Fortunately, no injuries related to the recall have been reported.

A full list of the recalled products is on the FDA's website.

USSTC is urging people not to use or open the recalled products so they can be returned for a refund.

None of the reported problems were found in Washington.
