Toronto police searching for stolen car with child inside

A four-year-old girl inside a auto stolen in Toronto has been found safe after an Amber Alert was issued by police Friday, March 10. Ranbir Dhillon told reporters. She went back inside for a moment and when she came out, the auto was gone, 680 NEWS reports. "And we want to give a special thank-you to everyone on social media for sharing the story and helping us find her", he said.

If observed call 911 or Toronto Police service immediately.

Police said the vehicle was left running at the time and the child was sitting in a auto seat.

Nguyen's parents had placed the girl in the vehicle, with the engine running, while they went inside the house momentarily to retrieve another child. It was actually someone that was walking by that found the auto. When they emerged and found the vehicle and their daughter gone, they called police.

The incident happened after the mother had put the girl inside the auto and then gone back into the house to fetch another child. "Our officers got on scene and confirmed that. she's ok". Police are now gathering evidence from the vehicle. Once the Amber Alert was issued, her name and photo were released.

Vehicle is a 2008 black Toyota Camry, license plate BHVH 392, last seen at Jane and Lawrence at 6:00am. We've had this situation happen before where a thief has stolen a auto and found a child inside.
