Fans of Garth Brooks who live in Austin, Texas are in for a treat as he is going to be performing a free concert at the 2017 SXSW Festival this weekend.

Presented by Amazon Music, the venue will feature the Austin skyline as backdrop with staging at the Auditorium Shores fronting Lady Bird Lake, 800 W. Riverside.

Brooks also mentioned that he'll be up to something on Friday night as well.

It's been revealed that Garth Brooks will perform on the final night of South By Southwest.

Brooks, who has an advertising degree from Oklahoma State University and went back at got an MBA from the school in 2011, was introduced as "the #1 selling solo artist in US history".

Brooks made a surprise appearance Friday night at Austin's Broken Spoke dance hall, playing a 45-minute solo acoustic show between sets by the house band. Tickets are still available for four of those shows.

These passes will be available to residents of Austin and the surrounding areas only; residency is determined by your credit card billing address' ZIP code. Attendees must have a confirmed ticket, SXSW badge, SXSW music wristband, or a SXSW artist wristband to see the show.

More information on the complimentary general admission tickets may be obtained here beginning at noon on Friday. The internet was abuzz on Thursday afternoon after several cryptic tweets and press releases teased Garth Brook's return to RodeoHouston next year.
