The rep shared: "Janet and her baby are doing well".

Despite claims that Janet Jackson and her billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana have amicably separated from each other, a new report has emerged shedding light on the reasons behind the split.

Jackson and Al Mana, who have kept most of their romance hidden in privacy while splitting their time between Dubai and Qatar, famously met in 2010 at a hotel opening. PageSix reports that Jackson was entitled $100 million if they were married for five years, but that amount would double if the couple had a child.

Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana first met at the hotel opening in Dubai in 2010 and later announced their engagement in the year 2012 and secretly married the year afterward.

A relative of Jackson's says money was not the driving force behind the divorce proceedings.

"She thought he had become too controlling during the pregnancy and she had already allowed him to dictate her appearance and even the way she performed at concerts", the source said. "She's so happy with her baby and that's all she is focused on".

Jackson's marriage has changed her from the woman who loves to wear figure-hugging clothes into someone who opts for loose, long-sleeved and conservative clothes.

As we reported, the couple separated in January, just a week or so after their baby was born. "They come from very different worlds". Janet's net worth is estimated to be $150 million or Kes 15.5 billion while Al Mana's is $1 billion or Kes 103 billion.

The assumption is Jackson and Al Mana signed a prenup, given their ages and the amount of money at stake. Sources said that the Qatari businessman is pulling his wife away from the limelight.
