Emirates Airlines have once again clinched the first position in the rankings of 'top 10 world's best airlines' issued by one of the most popular traveler's sites of the world-Trip Advisor from the total of the 50 selected airlines. The award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of airline reviews and ratings submitted by travellers worldwide, over a 12-month period. The awards also highlight top airlines by level of service, covering First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy.
Jet Airways on Wednesday won the "Best Airline - India" in the TripAdvisor's first annual Travellers' Choice awards for airlines, said a company release. Emirates was named the top airline in the world, followed by Singapore Airlines and Azul.
Air Malta has made a Tripadvisor list of Europe's top five regional airlines, the company announced today.
The company's general manger for flights Bryan Saltzburg said the awards are created to help travellers make well-informed air travel decisions. What makes the accolades so special is the fact that they are based on the experiences and feedback of customers, making the recognition even more rewarding. The airline industry in India is at an interesting juncture with increasing number of Indian travellers taking to flying and newer airlines foraying into the market. "The airline industry is investing billions of dollars in new aircraft and service enhancements to differentiate the flying experience and these awards recognise the carriers offering the very best experiences and value to the travelling public", Mr. Saltzburg adds.

The top regional and low-priced airlines in Asia-Pacific were, in order of ranking, THAI Smile, Bangkok Airways and IndiGo.
