In that video, a CRPF man on polling duty was seen beingheckled by protesters in the Chadoora area of Budgam district.Another video shows a stonepelting protester purportedlybeing shot dead from close range by security force personneloutside a polling station in Kashmir. Budgam accounted for the death of seven of the eight protesters during the poll-day violence. Two people are being questioned in connection with the case.
Police had registered a FIR in this regard yesterday on a complaint filed by the CRPF.
Meanwhile, yet another amateur video has surfaced on social media showing CRPF jawans being heckled by a group of visitors inside Srinagar's Mughal Nishat Gardens on Baisakhi. "They will be dealt with as per law", Vaid said. "It is a matter of investigation and action will be taken against whoever is found guilty", the DGP added. "Probably not since "Kashmir is ours" hell with Kashmiris", the former chief minister said. Omar wrote on Twitter.
Actor Anupam Kher posted a video which he captioned, "As a peace loving person I may applaud our soldiers for their restraint".
"I understand the outrage the CRPF video generated. An FIR has been lodged and some youths have been arrested", Singh told reporters here.
The Jammu and Kashmir government said that stern action would be taken against those involved in such incidents.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs V.K. Singh on Friday said the veracity of a video clip of a Kashmiri youth tied to a security force jeep needed to be established before he could comment on the issue.
