Ford alone is investing S$4.5 billion (S$6.3 billion) to introduce 13 new electric and hybrid vehicles over the next five years, chief executive officer Mark Fields told reporters at the NY show. If you're the kind of dude who's just not into the whole brevity thing - as in 2.3 seconds from zero-to-60-mph brief - then you might not have found the ravenously anticipated debut of the 800-plus-horsepower 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon to be the highlight of the show so far. The resurrected Demon is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Demon V8 engine which has 770 pound-feet of torque, making it the worlds fastest production auto it can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour (0 to 100 km/h) in 2.3 seconds. Here's our overview of the best cars, crossovers, SUVs, and concept cars of the 2017 New York International Auto Show. Hyundai chose to go with a refined and elegant edition of its classic street-sedan Sonata, while Hyundai launched its 2018 Rio subcompact vehicle. On the outside, fog lights are bigger and each version gets side rockers. Hyundai says it improved the ride and handling with a new chassis.
Ford Motor Co showed off a redesigned Lincoln Navigator luxury SUV with an aluminum body that cuts almost 90.72 kg off its weight. The gull-wing doors that were an eye-catching feature of the concept Navigator are gone from the production vehicle. Outside it has a sleeker look and is more aerodynamic than its predecessor. It seats seven or eight and is due out late this year.
