The incidents happened at the Work department of the University of Maiduguri at about 1:06 am on Saturday morning, killing the suicide bombers who strapped IEDs to their bodies.
Two university security personnel on duty were also affected, with one killed by the bombers. While interrogating them, the two suicide bombers detonated their explosives devices which injured one of the securities and killed another.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) based in Maiduguri, confirmed the death of four persons, including the bombers, in a statement on Saturday by Mal. Abdulkadir Ibrahim, the North East Information officer of the agency. A soldier was reported injured in the explosion, and is now receiving treatment at university of Maiduguri teaching hospital (UMTH).

The girls were released as part of a prisoner swap that also saw the government release an undisclosed number of Boko Haram suspects.
