A mild start to the week with continued rain chances

Sunday will be partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning, then mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely this afternoon.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy with a pop up shower or storm. Temperatures will be slightly lower with highs in the upper 80s because of the lack of sunshine and amount of rain expected. This, combined with a small disturbance, could stir up a shower or thunderstorm, Monday. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 miles per hour in the afternoon.

The steamy weather will continue into the traditional work week. Sunday will be partly cloudy in the morning before becoming sunny. There will be a returning 10 percent chance of isolated thundershowers in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 miles per hour. High temperatures both days will be in the lower to middle 90s. A front will move into the area on Monday night, meaning we will see drier air on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wednesday will be partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows will be in the mid-70s with a 20 percent chance of rain.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 79.

Thursday, July 20 - Mostly sunny, with a high near 93.
