Joe Biden to make stop in Nashville as part of book tour

The 34th annual Miami International Book Fair this November will feature a special guest - former Vice President Joe Biden. The tour, which coincides with the upcoming release of his memoir, is a series of conversations "that will go beyond the 24-hour news cycle and 140-character arguments to connect friends and neighbors around the topics that matter most", according to a news release.

The show at Proctors will be on Monday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m. The Capital Region stop falls on what will be Biden's 75th birthday. Proceeds from this event will benefit The Dreamland Theatre's nonprofit, year-round youth theatre program, which provides Nantucket's young people with the opportunity to develop and accelerate acting and public speaking skills, self-confidence and stage presence.Tickets for the American Promise Tour go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 28 at 10 am.

At last year's Miami Book Fair, the impossible ticket to get was the one that got you in to see 2016 presidential hopeful Sen. Tickets will be sold for $50, $70, $90 and $325 for VIP.

The visit is part of a concerted effort to bring more big-name speakers to the theater, Eck said.

In the months since the election, Biden has also said he believes he could have won the race for the presidency had he chose to throw his hat in the ring.

Biden is expected to kick off his 19-city book tour for "Promise Me, Dad", on November 13 in NY. "I still count myself lucky".

Flatiron Books publisher Bob Miller said Biden's work is a "rare book" that delves into the life of such a prominent figure.
