Will Smith raps with James Corden in Carpool Karaoke series premiere

Bennington, 41, a father of six, died from suicide on July 20.

The full episode, which will air next week, sees the Enter Sandman rockers singing along to Disney tracks & Rihanna, as well as serenading fans in a supermarket.

The first episode of the series based on a segment from The Late Late Show With James Corden was made available in the early hours of Wednesday on Apple Music.

James is dropping the basketball and picking up a microphone to passionately sing "Maniac" with no one other than "Carpool Karaoke" host, James Corden. "We consider it not our decision to make", he told the Associated Press Wednesday. He also added, "We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes [the family] would want".

Linkin Park's episode of Carpool Karaoke: The Series was filmed on July 14 and originally set to air in October.

"It's completely up to them", he said.

Late night host James Corden has no plans to release an episode of "Carpool Karaoke: The Series" featuring Linkin Park unless Chester Bennington's family gives him approval.

James confirmed that he gathered the rock group together in his auto for the viral segment and noted that it will now be up to Charles's family to decide whether or not it will air on The Late Late Show. "What a genius. What a guy", said Corden.

"I mean, it's a bit like picking your children, you know what I mean?" he joked. While Corden won't star in every episode, he did appear in the series debut alongside Will Smith. "I never even thought I get to meet Will Smith let alone be in his orbit for a couple of hours".
