Fans will be granted Early Access if they purchase a Champions Pack.
As the game begins its Early Access phase, it will contain new features, maps, and a brand new Champion as well: the DOOM Slayer from Bethesda's excellent shooter, DOOM.
Players who did not take part in CBT will need to buy a Champions Pack to get into EA or wait for the release of the free version at a later date. While the game has only been confirmed for PC at the moment, our interview with Marty Stratton past year all but confirmed it'll make the leap to PS4 and Xbox One in the near future.
Early access for Quake Champions will kick off on the 22nd of August. This bundle includes access to all 11 heroes, any future Champions that are released, an exclusive Early Access skin for Ranger, and three loot chests.
In Quake Champions, Doom guy's active ability, called Beserk, lets him smash enemies into bloody piles of gibs with his bare hands. In the meantime, much like the recent hit PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Quake Champions will live in the ever-changing land of Early Access, where changes will be made, things will be added, and more will spruce up players' experiences. When it fully launches, that price will be bumped up to $40.
To recap, it will come with two new maps in the form of the Church of Azathoth and Tempest Shrine, the DOOM Slayer, new Rune Challenges, a Lore system with 10 Lore Items scattered throughout Arenas, customization options and more.
