The channel which telecasts the se rial wrote, "We are deeply sad dened by the tragic loss of two of our actors Gagan Kang and Arjit Lavania".

Actors Gagan Kang and Arjit Lavania, known for their stint on television show Mahakali-Anth Hi Aarambh Hai, died on Saturday in a road accident, a police official said.

Kang, who plays Lord Indra in the mythological serial Mahakali - Anth Hi Aarambh Hai on Colors, and his co-star, who plays Nandi, were in Fiat Linea when the accident took place, a Times of India report says.

Refuting speculation that TV actor Gagandeep Kang, who died in a mishap on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway that also killed two others, was drunk at the wheel, police said he may have been exhausted after a night long shoot. The police said the auto crashed into the rear end of the parked trailer truck in high speed.

It is also being reported that Kang was found dead in the driver's seat, and that beer cans and snacks were also found scattered in the auto.

"The film crew had got a weekend break after the shooting and were returning back to Mumbai from Gujarat".

The actors died after a auto they were travelling in collided with a parked truck.

Eye-witnesses said that the impact of the crash crushed the car's roof. Our hearts go out to the families and we stand with them. The autopsy report will determine if he was drunk. The three are said to have died on the spot.
