But this is Bristol Motor Speedway, and Busch practically owns the place. He also won in the Truck Series on Wednesday night and the Xfintiy Series on Friday night. It also gave driver's an opportunity to pit if they wanted.
"So proud of Rowdy Nation".
"Our vehicle was really good in race trim", Busch said.
He then grabbed a broom, climbed atop his auto and swept away with glee, stopping short only of busting out his best Dick Van Dyke impression. "Man, Erik Jones put up a whale of a fight".
In the midst of it all will be Kyle Busch, two-for-two so far at Bristol this weekend and looking for a rare triple sweep. Chase Elliott, with a small three race sample size, is next on the list with finishes of 7th, 15th, and 4th in his three trips to Bristol.
Jones settled for second, one spot short of his first career victory. Last race: Kyle Larson took first less than 24 hours after running sprint cars in Iowa.
"You don't want to sound like your whining or being a sore loser by saying it sucks to run second, but it's bummer". Jones said his tires just got too hot the closer he got. "I think the pressure is on, but we've been handling the pressure really well".
Truex remains in first place in the NASCAR Cup Series driver points, 101 markers ahead of second place Kyle Busch.
This is the third time Busch has had a chance to sweep Bristol. There's already 13 drivers locked in by race wins - and that doesn't count Joey Logano, who won at Richmond but failed inspection so the victory is wiped out regarding playoff eligibility.
It didn't take Busch long to race to the front, capturing the lead from Kyle Larson in the waning laps of the opening stage after starting 18th.
Kyle Busch lowered the boom, then did it again, and again, and brought out the broom.
Jones lapped six cars in the first 25 laps, but Kenseth closed in on the No. 77 vehicle in traffic.
Jones' advantage over Kenseth at Lap 40 was a half-second. It put Jones in the middle of a weird JGR sandwich.
Jones is 16th in points, but without a win he might as well be 26th. Saturday night, he found himself battling Kenseth on numerous occasions for position on the track.
His Furniture Row Racing teammate, Martin Truex Jr., finished 21st after his No. 78 Bass Pro Shops/Ducks Unlimited Toyota developed a vibration after stopping for service under caution on Lap 205.
"Last two days I lost a ton of fluids", Earnhardt tweeted after his release from the care center. Instead, Kenseth was in a great mood and cracked jokes about Jones bumping him during the race. "Now I'm mad", Kenseth joked. "A win here would mean the world to me with it being my home track. I'd be happier if I would have won, but yeah, I'm pretty happy", he smiled.
"We built our team from the ground up this season", the driver said of his new ride.
"He gets excited over those things - the statistical things probably more than the average guys", Hamlin said. Buescher, who has driven the No. 37 Chevrolet to three top-10 finishes this season, will remain teammates with AJ Allmendinger as the middle-class NASCAR outfit looks to build their operation into a contender.
