Jurassic World Evolution Announced at Gamescom

It was announced during Microsoft's Gamescom broadcast today.

"Jurassic World Evolution evolves players" relationship with the Jurassic World film franchise, placing them in control of operations on the legendary island of Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands of the Muertes Archipelago.

So what a delight it was for me to see Evolution is not coming to mobile but instead to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC next year, around the time Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is set to debut in theaters.

"As long-time fans of the entire Jurassic series we're thrilled to be putting players in charge of their own Jurassic World Evolution", said Frontier's Chief Creative Officer, Jonny Watts. The game is, however, based on the most recent Jurassic Park film, so it is our sad duty to confirm that Ian Malcom is unlikely to be in it. In this new game, players will be able to build their own Jurassic World, bioengineer new dinosaur breeds, and construct attractions, containment and research facilities. Whatever you choose to do will lead to different challenges and never forget the words of warning from Dr Ian Malcolm, "life finds a way". It'll soon be your turn to build that park, thanks to Jurassic World Evolution from Frontier Developments (Elite Dangerous, Planet Coaster). The title will arrive in the summer of 2018.
