Eric Bailly Hints At Imminent Manchester United Transfer

Manchester United expect Zlatan Ibrahimovic to sign a new contract to stay at Old Trafford as early as this week, sources have told ESPN FC.

Manchester United are reportedly close to add another quality reinforcement to their attacking line.

The news will be a real boost to Jose Mourinho as he'll have another world class striker on his books and even though it's not clear when Ibrahimovic will be available for selection yet, he'll be a real asset when he does return to action. He could play an important role for the Old Trafford club this season as they look to challenge for the Premier League title.

Alongside a video of him showing off his kick-boxing skills with a double kick on a heavy bag, Ibrahimovic simply posted: "Which knee?"

The Swedish global has made an astonishing come back from a double cruciate knee injury sustained in Manchester United's Europa League quarter final against Anderlecht back in April but is already edging closer to making a come back, prompting United to offer him a new deal.

United have made a flawless start to their season, winning both their league games 4-0. With the good times returning for the club, Manchester united won 3 trophies last season and earned back a deserving spot in the Champions League.

Signed on a free transfer last summer, the mercurial striker netted 28 goals in his 46 appearances for the Red Devils before his season ended prematurely.

Eric Bailly, one of his (former?) United teammates was quick to respond to the tweet, explaining that he hoped Ibrahimovic was "almost ready to return".

"Lukaku is a top signing for United and his start has proved that but he needs a little work on his finesse". And this time it would be a player that already spent last season with the club.
