According to Capcom's Yuri Araujo, the team is focusing on new gameplay features for Monster Hunter World. Venture on quests alone or with up to three hunters in a newly designed online drop-in multiplayer system which allows cross-region cooperative play between Japan and the west, uniting the player base for the first time ever. Loot collected from fallen foes can be used to create new equipment and armor upgrades styled after the monsters they've slain, allowing hunters to survive the elements and defeat the tougher opponents that await them. No word on whether this special edition PS4 Pro will make its way to North America. A Monster Hunter version of the PlayStation 4 Pro was unveiled, with a red scaly console to go along with a dinosaur red DualShock 4.

The Monster Hunter World release date has been confirmed for worldwide launch on January 26, at midnight. This will be made available in limited quantities starting on December 7.

"In Monster Hunter: World, the latest installment in the series, you can enjoy the ultimate hunting experience, using everything at your disposal to hunt monsters in a new world teeming with surprises and excitement".

Also revealed as part of this was the fact that if you pre-order you'll get some extra armor, while there'll also be a digital deluxe version of the game that includes a bunch of new stuff including armor and character emotes. The physical collector's edition will be 15,980 yen (~$143).
