Serena Williams writes attractive letter to her mother

She has been awarded numerous Grand Slams, 4 Gold Olympic medals, along with a host of other awards and accomplishments, one being named No. 1 in singles on eight occasions, ranked by Women's Tennis Association, from 2002 to 2017. I can see that same fire burning as I read her words.

Just weeks after Serena Williams gave birth to her daughter, Alexis Olympia, she penned a note to her own mother, Oracene Price, praising her parenting skills. And she says that her new daughter Alexis Olympia, whom she welcomed home just days ago, is strong as well.

Somehow her mom found the strength to look past the hatred to help her daughter stand for empowerment and strength. "My exact same strong, muscular, powerful, sensational arms and body".

This should be a good thing, right? "I have a LONG way to go, but thank you", she said.

Serena Williams is the greatest American athlete of her generation.

"I've been called man because I appeared outwardly strong". "It has been said that that I use drugs (No, I have always had far too much integrity to behave dishonestly in order to gain an advantage)".

Entrepreneurship is all-consuming, it's sleepless, we call our startups our "babies", we are ridiculously proud of them, and we pour all of ourselves into them - but she is already all that and more, she is my legacy. "We don't all look the same", Williams adds.

Serena Williams is a new mother and still can't believe it.

She credits her mom for teaching her how to react against the hate and ignorance in the world.

Full of honesty, humility, and that new-mom fear so many of us know too well, this letter speaks to so many of us who are raising girls.

Williams thanks Price for being her role model and hopes to do the same for her daughter.

After all of the uproar of Williams's pregnancy she noted that she will be back to dominate the world of women's tennis in 2018.
