Steelers coach Mike Tomlin says TJ Watt could play Sunday

Barring another unexpected setback, Wheaton should make his 2017 debut on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their play is not.

"I know why they went out and acquired him", Tomlin said about Glennon.

"No one is going to be flawless", quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said. We appreciate James. We know what James is capable of. By the final game of the season, he was playing in 80 percent of the snaps.

The offence has just four touchdowns through two games against Cleveland and Minnesota. They have one interception and one fumble recovery.

But the more immediate issue is this: Beating the rebuilding Bears (0-2).

About the only thing Glennon did succeed in doing was adding more fuel to the debate over who should be the starting quarterback for the Bears (0-2).

The former Oregon State star missed the first two games of the season while recovering from an injury.

What Glennon can't do is give the ball away as he did last week, particularly on third downs. The Steelers fell 27-24 - at home - on a touchdown pass in the closing seconds. Who led the Bucs to victory that game? All three finished.500 or worse, while the Steelers wound up 8-8.

Chicago Bears coaches are resolute.

"It sucks", he said of having to come out of the game earlier this week due to the groin injury. The Chicago Bears ground game is averaging 72.5 yards per contest, and Cohen leads the way with 79 yards on 12 carries.

Maybe the biggest key for the Steelers isn't Bell's total production but his number of touches. This is a game that, on paper, they should be able to win easily, but it's never that easy. Bears are combined 0-8 in September in three seasons under coach John Fox. The wait for Mitchell Trubisky continues. Chickillo produced two sacks. Playing with a decimated receiving corps and banged up offensive line doesn't help. "The Bears took Atlanta to the brink, and then the turnovers they had last week kind of made the game a little bit different than it should've been". They also have a bye in Week 9. So I think it can really stretch the defense and we can run by guys, we can throw it deep.

Same goes for Week 5: Although 4-1, the Steelers lost at 1-4 Miami past year, a team that rallied to capture a wild-card berth. Chicago managed 20 yards rushing last week.

WINDY CITY TROUBLES: The Steelers have not had much luck in Chicago. The lone win was in overtime in 1995.
