Debra Messing wanted Grace to be a feminist in show reboot

The original theme song forWill & Grace was an instrumental earworm in its own right, but if you've ever wondered what it might sound like with words attached, a new version might be even more exciting. Grace (Debra Messing) was engaged to a guy, then not engaged, then nearly married, then happily single again while Will (Eric McCormack) weathered her romantic squalls and Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally) barely made it on screen.

She joined McCormack and their troupe of backup dancers to declare, "Get down!"

The song begins with Grace herself singing, "I'm Debra Messing as you probably know. Grace is a character that I play - interior designer and Will's roommate".

McCormack, who plays Will, shared a amusing story about his co-star Sean Hayes, who plays Jack, involving an NBC sexual harassment training that went very, very wrong. Great has been the clamor by longtime fans and the supreme confidence that its home the NBC network has in the show that the "Will & Grace" revival has already been renewed for another season. The show is coming back and I'm playing him still.

The foursome - and Fallon - then come together to belt out, "Get down!" There will also be no more "Just Jack".

Hayes added that it "just might be the best show in the whole universe, but it's still on NBC so we can't f-- curse". "Will and Grace is coming to town!", which'll be stuck in our heads all day. Will & Grace returns this Thursday, September 28th at 9 p.m. ET on NBC!
