Recent reports had suggested that Ozil was likely to end his impasse with the Gunners to sign a bumper new deal at the Emirates.

Arsenal have reportedly accepted that they won't keep hold of Mesut Ozil and a winter exit to Inter Milan could be on the cards, the Daily Star reports.

Arsenal and Mesut Ozil have not discussed terms of a new contract since February earlier this year, according to reports.

There were claims that the Germany global was closing in on a new deal, but they appear to be wide of the mark. Additionally, the German playmaker is keen on making the switch to Manchester United in a Bosman move to link up with Jose Mourinho once again.

According to the Sunday Mirror Sport, Ozil's representatives have established contact with Manchester United over a potential move.

Jose Mourinho was the manager who signed Ozil at Real Madrid and he shares a good relationship with the player. The 28-year-old went though his most successful spell as a player while playing for Mou at Real Madrid.

Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for £42 million back in September 2013 on transfer deadline day.

Ozil recently claimed Arsenal have not engaged in contract talks with him since February, with his current terms due to expire next summer.

'And, believe me, that's a huge amount'.
