Prince Harry Does Not Want Extravagant Wedding With Meghan Markle

Last Thursday a blacked-out Ford Galaxy was seen to be driving through the gates of the Queen's private entrance of the Palace at around 5pm. In part it was to settle any nerves Meghan might have felt but also to ensure it was not widely publicised within the palace.

The Queen, 91, had just returned from her long summer break at Balmoral Castle two days earlier, and Prince Philip was not there to meet Markle.

According to the insider, the Queen normally sits for half an hour eating from a selection of sandwiches, fruit or plain scones and cake.

"We met her a couple of years back and she said she really liked the song ['Murder on the Dance Floor'] and we sort of spent a weekend away at something together and she was really lovely", Ellis-Bextor told Hello!

As fifth in line to the throne, Harry will have to ask the Queen for permission to marry Meghan.

There have been three major signs in recent months that point to an engagement being likely: Meghan talking publicly about Harry for the first time, their first public appearance together, and Meghan reportedly quitting Suits.

Meghan's been a regular visitor to Kensington Palace over the a year ago, while Harry has also flown out to Canada, where she films Suits.

And that's not the only family member the Suits star has met with, with The Mail revealing Harry's father Prince Charles was "very impressed" when he was introduced to the 36-year-old.

In a formal introduction at Buckingham Palace, Harry took actress Meghan for tea with the Monarch, which extended into a full hour.

Of course, the majority of things we hear about Harry and Meghan's relationship could be nothing more than gossip, but if there's any truth to the "where there's smoke, there's fire" theory, the couple's relationship is about to take a big step sooner rather than later. "But we're happy. Personally, I love a great love story". The Duchess of Cambridge did not discuss her eight-year relationship with Prince William until they got officially engaged, and then confined her comments to a short television interview.
