Julia Louis-Dreyfus Tackles Chemo With Humor, Grit And Katy Perry

Judging by her support network and her fierce attitude, Louis-Dreyfus has everything she needs to keep fighting through her treatments.

The actress revealed her breast cancer diagnosis last month and since then has gone about living her life. On Thursday she posted an update, having finished her second round of chemotherapy, writing that she is not [bleeping] around, adding the lyrics to Katy Perry's "Roar" and thanking her Veep costars Tony Hale and Timothy Simons for their "hilarious and loving inspiration".

Louis-Dreyfus went on to quote some particularly apt Katy Perry lyrics that seem to be serving as inspiration for the actress, thanks in no small part to an incredible video made by "Veep" costars Timothy Simons and Tony Hale.

The caption of the photo read: "Chemo #2: finito".

Louis-Dreyfus shared that she'd been diagnosed with breast cancer in late September via a moving letter on social media. As sweet and amusing as it is, it's also hard to get through the whole thing with a dry eye. "The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let's fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality".

The Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress has two children with actor and writer Brad Hall.
