The NY Daily News notes the mall was open until midnight Thursday so shoppers could take advantage of pre-Black Friday deals.

There was also, originally, a report of gunshots fired. You see another shopper being held down by security.

Officials found at least one fight after 11 p.m. on the mall's second floor, AL.com reports.

No arrests were made, but Hoover police say that an undetermined amount of people were detained pending warrants. Officers arrived to find two juvenile females engaged in a physical altercation with a group of by-standers watching. The fight was not related to post-Thanksgiving sales. No one was injured and no arrests resulted from the fight, which appeared to have stemmed from a personal dispute, Hale said.

The Riverchase Galleria was forced to close early on Thanksgiving night after a fight broke out around 11:30. One man was attempting to holster his weapon when it discharged, striking the other man - who suffered injuries which are being described as life-threatening.

An hour prior to the fight, officers responded to a call of shots fired outside of the mall near the Macy's parking lot. Officers responded and no evidence of gunfire was located. A check of Twitter and social media shows people selling Walmart employee vest and Best Buy employee shirts promising an easy in and a way to bypass the line.
