Quake -5.5 Hits PARTS OF NORTH INDIA

A Strong natural disaster tremors were felt in Delhi on Wednesday night.

According to TV reports, in Uttarakhand the magnitude recorded on the Richter scale is 5.5.

Media reports said that the tremors were felt in many parts of North India, including Chandigarh and Dehradun. According to the Meteorological Department, the center of the natural disaster was in Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand, about 121 km east of Dehradun.

The epicentre of the quake was at 30 km depth, and the tremor is considered moderate. Even on Tuesday, there was a 3.3-magnitude quake.

"I came out of the house after I realized everything is trembling", Atul Kumar, a local resident in New Delhi's Green Park told Xinhua.

No damages have been reported so far.
