Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding date conflicts with FA Cup

The vows will take place at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle where Queen Elizabeth will be in attendance - but sure where else would she rather be other than watching her fifth-in-line to the throne grandson finally settle down?

The plans present something of a conflict, however, for Prince Harry's older brother, Prince William.

Confirmation of the exact date was made on the Kensington Palace Twitter feed. As was quickly realised by football fans up and down the land, this is the very same date as the 2018 FA Cup final at Wembley. Loved-up Harry and Meghan announced their engagement last month and are due to Wednesday in Windsor.

Harry and Markle got engaged last month and revealed their tentative May wedding date one day later. Harry proposed with a ring he designed which included two diamonds from the late Princess Diana's jewelry collection.

Prince William attended this year's match and presented a trophy to the victor, Arsenal.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: "You can expect to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Ms Markle at Sandringham on Christmas Day".
