When he was a boy visiting Columbus, Glenn said he'd ask his parents to stop by the airport on the way home to New Concord. "John came out of the heart of the country, like you kids do, and he stole America's heart", Mr. Glenn, who served four terms in the US Senate after leaving the space program, taught at the university in the state´s capital city during the latter part of his life, at the college of public affairs which bears his name.

It was unclear how many were due to slick roads. One person died in that accident when one of the drivers got out his vehicle and was hit by onrushing traffic.

Police said King died Saturday night after he was shot in the backseat of his grandmother's auto during a road-rage confrontation in southwest Little Rock . His grandmother, 47-year-old Kim King-Macon, had stopped her 2006 Dodge Charger at a traffic light in the 6700 block of Mabelvale Cutoff Road. The grandmother, who was unhurt, drove away and called police from a shopping centre.

The government of Ukraine made a decision to nationalize the country's largest bank, PrivatBank, the half of which shares are owned by Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoyskyi, the statement published on the website of the Cabinet says. The central bank said that Ukraine was ready to support PrivatBank with liquidity if needed, adding that it did not see the nationalization process as significantly impacting the currency market or inflation levels.
