Ex-Greek PM Papademos hurt in vehicle blast

Former Greek Prime Minister Loukas Papadimos was injured in an explosion in Athens , according to Greek media. Papademos served as an interim prime minister from November 2011 to May 2012. The economist previously served as vice-president of the European Central Bank and governor of the Bank of Greece. Reports say the blast may have been caused by a letter bomb.

Major oil producers agree to extend output cuts by nine months

Brent crude futures prices rose by as much as one per cent to reach their highest point since mid-April in early morning trading, but fell steeply after doubts about the cuts emerged. "There have been suggestions [of deeper cuts], many member countries have indicated flexibility but. that won't be necessary", Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al Falih said before the meeting .
