The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will soon put into circulation currency notes in Re 1 denomination, it was revealed today. The Rs 2,000 note has a picture of Mangalyan, which is the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Mars Orbiter Mission. The move comes after the government introduced new Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 notes in November a year ago, as part of its demonetisation drive.
