However, during his testimony and in answering senators' questions, Sessions is prepared to address some outstanding lines of inquiry regarding the Russian Federation investigation and his time as attorney general.

Sessions said in a letter on Saturday that he would appear before the committee to address matters that Comey brought up last week in testimony to the same panel. In his testimony, Comey detailed three one-on-one meetings with Trump in January and February, one of them a dinner. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is preparing to face former Senate colleagues over his role in the controversy around ties between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation.
