Twitter Expands Tweets to 280 Characters - Except in Chinese, Japanese and Korean

It wasn't a platform for long-winded rants like the ones you tend to see on Facebook. The San Francisco company says 9 percent of tweets written in English hit the 140-character limit. Those above 190 accounted for a mere 2%. It was not just Premier League sides who were flaunting their 280 characters, though, with the likes of Bayern Munich, AC Milan and RB Leipzig joining in too.
