Steve Scalise , the House majority whip, was among several injured by the gunfire at a baseball field in Alexandria , Virginia, on Wednesday morning. Ryan said his thoughts immediately went to the lone Capitol Police officer who parks in the lot near the field during practices. Reports say he was armed with two weapons; one handgun and one "assault style" rifle.
