The Kargil conflict was flight between India and Pakistan between May and July 1999 in the Kargil sector of Kashmir and elsewhere along the Line of Control (LoC). As many as 527 Indian soldiers lost their lives and more than 1,300 were wounded during the 60 days of warfare.
