Congress misses deadline to reauthorize childrens' health care program

Members of Congress have been working on a deal to renew funding for the program, which insures about 9 million children around the US, but have not yet passed an agreement. Today, the program is jointly funded through the state and federal governments. A statement from Gov. Brian Sandoval's office said the federal government pays almost the entire annual $43 million cost of the program in Nevada.
